ABOUT

About Đắk Nông

Đắk Nông is Chi Bu Trip’s home. Bon Kon Hao in Đắk Ha commune, where teacher H’Brông runs language classes for children, is a stop on most of our journeys.

In 2020, UNESCO recognised Đắk Nông as a Global Geopark, with the longest system of volcanic caves in Southeast Asia. The forests, waterfalls and lakes here are still wild, with few large tour groups.

Where to go

01

Tà Đùng Lake

Known as “Hạ Long Bay in the great forest”. Take a boat between the islands and camp out to watch the sunrise.

02

Bon Kon Hao

Sleep in a stilt house with a M’nông family, cook bamboo-tube rice and listen to gongs by the campfire.

03

Đray Sáp – Gia Long Falls

A majestic cluster of waterfalls on the Sêrêpôk River; in the rainy season the spray rises like white smoke.

04

Krông Nô volcanic caves

Lava caves tens of thousands of years old, explored in small groups led by forest rangers.
